Innovate or die: a programmatic topic for this year´s ICYB, which took place from June 14-16 in Belgium. Challenges and chances of digitization were the main focus of the diverse program.  Not only bits und bytes lead to the booktrade´s future, but also fascinating concepts like Dwarsligger. 34 booksellers from 11 countries developped very practical approaches for their bookstores in three different workshops.  The most convincing were: „Book Galaxy – The Story Store“, „The Virtual Bookstore“ and „Time Machine“. These three extraordinary results very also presented at the first ever EBF/IBF/ICYB dinner in Brussels.  The IBF/EBF conference was held June 17-18  in Brussels.

Booksellers International Book of the Year (BIBY): Since 1997 the BIBY is chosen at ICYB every year. Each participant presented their favourite title during the bookdating sessions. 2011 is going to be held in Russia for the first time ever. In May 2011 the Russian BA and Moscow House of Books will invite to the 54th ICYB.
